GAN SIOW HUANG

Ms Gan Siow Huang, 46, worked in the Republic of Singapore Air Force for more than 25 years and was the first female Brigadier General in the Singapore Armed Forces.

She was elected as the Member of Parliament for Marymount SMC during the Singapore General Election in 2020 and serves as the Minister of State in the Ministry for Education and Ministry for Manpower since 27 July 2020.  She is also the Adviser for Marymount SMC Grassroots Organisations.

She has been a volunteer with Girl Guides Singapore for more than seven years, and holds the Chief Commissioner appointment. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Economics) degree from London School of Economics and Political Science. She is married and a mother of three children.
